Is There Really A Hell ?

think 3We are treading on very solemn ground here, and I hope that this can be dealt with in the sensitive, yet faithful way that it should be addressed.

Yes, there is a hell. Some may try to teach otherwise, but such are false prophets, who try to twist the Word of God.

Someone once asked, "Where is hell ?"

The answer was given, "At the end of a Christ-rejecter's life."

In Luke 16:23, we read of the rich man who died,

".....and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments....

Matthew 10:28 says,

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him Which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Please notice, that in the above verses, it is the Lord Jesus Who is speaking. Some may try to put their hands over their ears, as it were, and refuse to believe that the Lord Jesus spoke about hell, but He did, many times.

One of the most asked questions is: "How can a Loving God send people to hell ?"

You see, God is not only a God of Love - but He is a Righteous, Holy and a Just God. It is His Justice that demands punishment for sin. It is His Love that provided a way whereby sinners can be saved from hell and punishment.

Does it give us any joy to tell you about hell  ? No ! It is out of love and concern for your soul that we lovingly, yet faithfully, tell you that there is a place called hell.

If you saw someone walking backwards to the end of a cliff, would you say "it's a lovely day we're having", or would you shout  "watch out !! don't step back !! " ?

You don't even have to think about answering that - you know what you would do  !

The Gospel preacher warns men and women about hell -- simply because he doesn't want them to go there !

Next time you hear a preacher preaching on this subject, don't think to yourself --- "there's that fire and brimstone preacher again" --- but please realise that this man has probably spent the night before agonising and crying to God, as he thinks about the subject he has to preach, and the loved ones and friends he has to preach it to.

If you are as yet unsaved, we don't want YOU to go there ! We plead with you, don't let another moment go by unsaved, and rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ. You don't HAVE to perish - a ransom was paid for your sin - a way was opened whereby you do not have to spend eternity  in hell.

Repent of your sin - call on the Lord Jesus to save you - receive Him as your own and personal Saviour - we beg of you to do it now - don't put it off :

" is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2nd Corinthians 6:2)

"Where will you spend eternity?
This question comes to you and me!
Tell me, what shall your answer be?
Where will you spend eternity?
Eternity! eternity!
Where will you spend eternity?

Many are choosing Christ today,
Turning from all their sins away;
Heav’n shall their happy portion be;
Where will you spend eternity?
Eternity! eternity!
Where will you spend eternity?

Leaving the straight and narrow way,
Going the downward road today,
Sad will their final ending be,
Lost thro’ a long eternity!
Eternity! eternity!
Lost thro’ a long eternity!

Repent, believe, this very hour,
Trust in the Saviour’s Grace and Power,
Then will your joyous answer be,
Saved thro’ a long eternity!
Eternity! eternity!
Saved thro’ a long eternity!

Hymn Words by Elisha A. Hoffman (1839-1929)

"And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
(Revelation 20:15)

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)
