What Is Reconciliation ?

reconciliationTwo countries are at war. They are bitter enemies. Someone within one of those countries has the vision and foresight to try to get some sort of peace. Negotiations begin, the two sides meet, and draw up terms, and eventually a peace treaty is signed. The two countries - once sworn enemies - have now been RECONCILED !

So it was with those who have been saved by God's Grace. Once, they were enemies of God. They were sinners. They were strangers to Grace and to God. But God, in His Mercy and Grace, called them, brought the Gospel to them - they heard it with joy, repented, received salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, and were RECONCILED to God.

Does a "state of war" still exist in your heart towards God and the Gospel ? If so, we would plead with you.........

".... be ye reconciled to God. (2nd Corinthians 5:20),

and  then it will be said concerning you:

"  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the Body of His Flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His Sight. (Colossians 1: 21, 22)

"Yet, in my heart, the war was still raging,
All my prisoners of war had not come home.
But these were battlefields of my own making,
I didn't know that the war had been won.
Then I heard that the King of the Ages,
Had fought and won every battle for me,
And victory was mine for the claiming,
And now, praise His Name I am free !

IT IS FINISHED ! The battle is over !
IT IS FINISHED ! There'll be no more war !
IT IS FINISHED ! The end of the conflict !
IT IS FINISHED ! And Jesus is Lord !
